- Sunday morning is a wonderful time for the scattered church to gather in corporate worship and glorify God together. The reality, however, is that most of our time as Christ-followers is not spent in church services, but rather, the spheres in which we live, work and play. Such a reality can foster the tendency for individuals to limit their experience in Christian community to a few hours on Sunday morning, without deeply knowing, or being deeply known by, others. This is where the geographically based community groups of RBC Nashville play a large role.
- Our community groups regularly meet in members’ homes to enjoy a time of fellowship, prayer for one another and discussion/application of the sermon from the previous Lord’s Day. Often, these gatherings include a meal or snacks.
- Our vision for community groups and their weekly gatherings is to create an environment in which people can consistently live out the “one-anothers” of the New Testament, grow in relationships, and bridge the gap between knowledge and practice in conjunction with reaching the lost in our communities and serving causes of mercy and justice in our city.
- We currently have community groups in the Goodlettsville, Madison and Smyrna regions.
- The expectation, but not requirement, for RBC Nashville church members is active involvement in a community group. For information on the community group that is closest to you, please email our church administrator by clicking here, and we will have a community group leader reach out to you!
